The MacBook Pro has been updated with the new Santa Rosa Intel chipsets. The setup will now come with a centrino with 800Mhz Front side bus speed which improves RAM performance as well as reduce power usage. The 17inch MacBook Pro will come with a 1920 x 1200 display resolution and it also has a new graphics card to show off. The new ones will come with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT card.
The 15-inch Macbook Pro will come with LED backlighting but wont come with the 17inch version?! The lowest starting price for the Macbook Pros is at $1,999. Some pesimists say they could have added a Blu-ray drive to this but we will have wait for another update from the guys at Apple for that change. |

Not that we don't hear of Britney Spears too often on E-news, but we came across this and i had to let everyone know. Personally i am not a Britney fan at all, but this one is for the those few and far between fans who love this controvertial pop singer.
Britneyspearsbeauty.com is running a contest wherein you write about a midnight fantasy along with a photo entry. The judges i guess will be the top authority for this site and will give away a Britney Spears autographed iPod video. The iPod given is going to be a 30gb, and you can definitely fill it up with all her songs! |

Apple iPhone - Close Up
Some great events bring on better gadgets and electronics, and the CES 2007 and Macworld have not disappointed us for sure. The Macworld this year presented Apple Inc., with a chance to showcase their new upcoming products and so they did. One of them is the Apple iPhone. Yes, the iPhone. The iPhone is in early stages yet and has even to obtain FCC approval, but the guys at Apple thought it would be reasonable to give it a big launch at the MacWorld.
The Apple iPhone is ofcourse a phone plus a widescreen iPod to put it in generic terms. It comes with a 3.5 inch widescreen display which provides a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The screen uses Multitouch technology which is great and the iPhone has 4GB / 8GB of storage space. The iPhone can be operational with Quad-band GSM networks.
The iPhone supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, EDGE and Bluetooth v2.0 There is also a neat 2 Megapixel camera on this phone which is a nice to have. The device weighs close to 130 grams which is close to the other PDAs measuring 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches. The battery of the Apple iPhone lasts for a reported 16 hours of audio playback and 5 hours talk time. |

It's finally here, the Apple Mac Pro. This was going to come out sometime it had to be today. Apple has kept everyone at bay over this new release but we all knew it was coming out sooner rather than later. The Apple Mac Pro completes the so-called transition of the Apple computers to 'Intel' processors, since the PowerBook, iBook, iMac and the Mac mini have now got their Intel forms.
The Apple Mac Pro is one powerhouse i should say. It is reported to be 3 times faster than the old ones. The base configuration available in the Intels 64bit dual-core Xeon *Woodcrest* processor with 4MB L2 cache is 2.6GHz clock speed, 1GB RAM, GeForce 7300GT equipped with 256MB RAM, 250GB Harddisk, and ofcourse a 16x SuperDrive. The maximum config has a 3GHz clock speed, 16GB RAM (a total of 8 DIMM slots) and a 2TB Harddisk.
