Google has launched a new web browser ahead of the Internet Explorer 8 launch. We had earlier expected that the Google browser would be launched just before IE8 somewhere in the start of 2009, but this early release by Google has come as a surprise for all.
Google Chrome as it is called looks an appealing browser and according to tests by major software giants on the Acid3 and other tests it comes up better than IE and Firefox both.
The Acid3 test rates Chrome at 78 out of 100 ahead of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 7. Although the browser doesn't meet the lofty standards of the Opera browser that scores as high as 83 on this test routine. |

There are rumors doing the round that Google might be looking to buy YouTube.com, which is a site for sharing videos. The concept of Google Video was actually a copy of the Original YouTube and Google is looking to make ammends to it.
It is thought that Google will be looking to scrap their Google Video and will only maintain the new entity. Probably naming it GooTube ? Who knows! Maybe they can take it to the next level. Let mobile users see these videos via EDGE to their mobile phones. Let's just wait and watch as to what Google does.

Google has decided that the new Payment processing service is going to be called Google Checkout, instead of GBuy or Purchases.
Websites and merchants can now put up another method of payment as an alternative to Paypal. Paypal has been charging 3.4% fees and 30 cents, whereas Google Checkout will charge 2.2% plus 20 cents on transactions.
Google Checkout will not be in Beta but will be rolled out for everyone, it has also been tested by a close group claims google and has appealed to everyone at Google. Checkout will be integrated with your Adwords account for webmasters so it will be easier to pay for advertising costs.
They will soon launch for Mobile users too, but that is in the building phase. Source of information |

It was mentioned on the Google blog that a new feature has been rolled out by them - 'reply by chat'. With this you can now reply to messages sent to you by email through their GMail Chat option if the contact is online. The chat history will also be saved accordingly, with the button being placed next to reply and forward options in the message window
