It's finally here, the Apple Mac Pro. This was going to come out sometime it had to be today. Apple has kept everyone at bay over this new release but we all knew it was coming out sooner rather than later. The Apple Mac Pro completes the so-called transition of the Apple computers to 'Intel' processors, since the PowerBook, iBook, iMac and the Mac mini have now got their Intel forms.
The Apple Mac Pro is one powerhouse i should say. It is reported to be 3 times faster than the old ones. The base configuration available in the Intels 64bit dual-core Xeon *Woodcrest* processor with 4MB L2 cache is 2.6GHz clock speed, 1GB RAM, GeForce 7300GT equipped with 256MB RAM, 250GB Harddisk, and ofcourse a 16x SuperDrive. The maximum config has a 3GHz clock speed, 16GB RAM (a total of 8 DIMM slots) and a 2TB Harddisk.
