We missed covering the CES 2008 in our busy lives, but we are now getting you the latest from there and best the best showcases delivered by the tech companies.
Lets start with having a look at the crazy laptops announced at the show in Las Vegas -
A gamer laptop launched by Gateway was - Gateway P-Series FX Edition. This comes with 17-inch screen, designed for gaming and entertainment fans, along with DirectX 10-capable nVidia GeForce 8800M GTS graphics with 512 MB GDDR3 RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and gigabit ethernet as well as HDMI and eSATA ports. With an HD DVD player this will cost you around usd 3000, but without that you can probably find it for about usd 1500.
Next in line for the pick of the show was the Lenovo IdeaPad Y701. This has a glossy finish to it and is far far away from the traditional Lenovo look. For once the company is trying to venture out and experiment. This one has a good screen with a 4.1 speaker system to go along with it. An option for a blu-ray disc drive is always a good addition. This one will cost you about 1200 bucks, and a similar one with a 15inch screen is $800.
