Google has decided that the new Payment processing service is going to be called Google Checkout, instead of GBuy or Purchases.
Websites and merchants can now put up another method of payment as an alternative to Paypal. Paypal has been charging 3.4% fees and 30 cents, whereas Google Checkout will charge 2.2% plus 20 cents on transactions.
Google Checkout will not be in Beta but will be rolled out for everyone, it has also been tested by a close group claims google and has appealed to everyone at Google. Checkout will be integrated with your Adwords account for webmasters so it will be easier to pay for advertising costs.
They will soon launch for Mobile users too, but that is in the building phase. Source of information
