Eurotech has announced the first wearable computer that runs on Linux and offers plenty of features all that of a normal computer. It has been named WWPC (Wrist worn PC) by them. This is mainly focussing on applications such as emergency, healthcare, etc.It weighs a mere 200 grams. The features include: Direct-access keypad L1 16-channel GPS receiver with active helix antenna IrDa Bluetooth v1.1 LAN 802.11b (up to 11Mbps) Supports Linux or Windows CE The availability to the public is not known at the time, we have to just wait and watch when it is rolled out finally. |
