Almost official news posted on USAToday that the much awaited Nintendo console will be available come november along with it's rival Playstation 3. The Wii is reported to be priced under 250, so we suppose it's the $249 price tag which will be put to it.

The Wii has a 729Mhz IBM Broadway processor along with 88MB ram. The specs of the Wii are not as impressive as the PS3 or even the Xbox 360, but the price at which it will be available will lure the lower budget gamers in it's direction.

The best part about it at the moment seems to be that they are not going to take monthly subscription fees or online gaming and stuff. It seems like quite good marketing, under the umbrella of 'no hidden costs'. So for the Wii it's thumbs up for me!
