Page 1 of 3 The new Alienware laptop is simply a powerhouse, with a 17" UWUXGA LCD and a resolution of 1920x1200 the Aurora m9700 can run any game at the best resolutions.
It has a powerful AMD Turion64 ML-44 Processor clocking at 2.4Ghz. Well thats not nearly the highlight of this beauty. The Nvidia's nForce4 SLI surely is! As most of the gamers nowadays know the 'Scalable Link Interface' is way to integrate more than 1 Graphics card on the laptop. The card used in the Aurora is the Dual 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS along with the 2GB(max) @ 400Mhz FSB.
The battery is obviously the downside but understandably so. According to the tests by Hot hardware, the batt lasted for about 120 minutes that too on a 12Cell Lithium.
The m9700 measures 1.85" x 15.65" x 11.75" and weights from 8.5-10 lbs depending on the configuration.
